Blissful Places in Puerto Vallarta to Settle Down with a Good Book

Besides our super cozy café in Old Town, there are lots of places in the city and its surrounding areas to settle down with your new book and catapult into your next reading adventure. Of course, a good reading spot requires a few essentials; including a comfortable space in which to be still for an extended period of time, shade (it’s hot here) and minimal distractions and/or noise.

A few of the places that meet all these requirements that you may want to check out are:

• Not surprisingly, the beach. Some of the beaches in and around Puerto Vallarta can tend to be full of lots of people and not necessarily the best place to read without distraction, but there are also some that have very few people on them and make for the perfect blissful reading spot. Such as the beach on the far South of Los Muertos beach, and the beaches in the hotel zone to the North.
• If you don’t have a rooftop terrace or balcony where you stay in Puerto Vallarta, it’s worth thinking about checking out a day pass at a pool or resort. These pools tend to be less busy and we can guarantee you’ll find a cozy spot to settle in with your book at a cold beverage. We recommend a day pass at the beautiful boutique resort Casa Karma, or checking out the Sky Bar at Pinnacle Residences.
• The beautiful gardens along the far end of La Isla del Rio Cuale are a beautiful spot to settle in with a book. You can hear the river running through alongside you, and the tall trees provide a refreshing coolness and shade. You’ll also find a spot called Babel Bar there that has hammocks for you to lay around in. Doesn’t get much better than that!
