1. Create a reading schedule. Choose a time of day to dedicate exclusively to reading. You don't need to set aside two hours. To get started, you can set aside 15 minutes; This will help you stay consistent and develop the habit of reading. You don't need to do it every day either, but on the days when you can find time.
2. Explore different genres. Maybe you already have a favorite genre, but have you ever wondered if there's another one that may surprise you and help you discover new literary favorites? At A Page In The Sun, we have a variety of genres and books in our café-bookstore. On your next visit, you can choose a book that is different from what you’re used to reading.
3. Reduce time spent on social media. Social media is so entertaining that it sometimes becomes addictive. Don't let it steal your time to do other activities you enjoy. To prevent this, you can set a timer to limit the time in the apps that you use most.
4. Visit your favorite coffee shop/bookstore. Make an appointment with yourself to enjoy some alone time at your favorite coffee shop with a good book, accompanied by a delicious beverage.
5. Set goals/rewards. What better way to motivate yourself than to reward yourself every time you achieve one of your reading goals?
